Regarding Lawrence Krauss’s “Even Science Grants Bow to ‘Equity and Inclusion’” (op-ed, Oct. 13): The new grant requirements are consistent with particle physics. The government is merely providing “action at a distance,” the quantum idea that two particles can interact even though they aren’t connected; for what can be more disconnected than the federal government and the scientific community? The rules expand on the “wave-particle duality,” whereby a quantum entity can be simultaneously a wave and a particle. In Washington, this means being productive and destructive simultaneously. Physics can explain everything.
